What do you think of the future of the fintech sector?
I personally believe that at least in the banking industry, the future of FinTech is still very good in the next 5-10 years. The reasons include the following.
1. Policy and financial support. Large domestic banks, represented by state-owned, have put forward fintech strategies in recent years to promote the digital transformation of banks. The policy is supported by the head office, and the capital investment in financial technology is increasing year by year in all major banks.
2. Internet technology is very suitable for financial business scenarios. For example, machine learning and deep learning in artificial intelligence can be used for business data analysis, and they can be used for intelligent investment and risk prediction; natural language processing can be used for intelligent customer service. Blockchain technology can be used in the research and development of digital RMB; big data technology can be used for fast retrieval of massive transaction data of banks. There are very many scenarios, so I will not list them here.
3. The demand for digital transformation of banks is huge, and Internet companies cannot reach this part of business. The main business of banks is deposit, loan and remittance, and the Internet company is unable to touch this part of the business, at most to do a basic hardware and software providers, system construction or the bank itself, and this aspect of the demand is very huge. For example, the localization of the bank’s basic hardware and software, to IOE, the replacement of outdated technology, the construction of new systems, etc., the demand for IT personnel is also very large.
To sum up, from the perspective of policy and funding support, large demand, and technology is a very good fit, the prospect of fintech development in the banking industry is very extensive in the next 5-10 years.
